Foundation For Excellence
Walled Lake Schools
The mission of the Foundation for Excellence is to foster innovation in teaching and learning in the Walled Lake school district. Funds are raised through memorials, honorariums, corporate sponsors and donations, annual gifts and special events.
The fi rst annual Reading in the Park literacy event drew a crowd of more than 250 people! Over 1,000 books were distributed by the Lakes Area Optimist Club to participants young and old! Our very own "story" was written by the FFE with collaboration by 48 outstanding students in the WLCS district. To view the entire story...click on the link below:

Many thanks to all who helped make this event such a success! Our authors, the district Media Specialists, Panera Bread, the Commerce and Wixom libraries and our FFE Board members pulled out all of the stops to ensure that everyone had a great time!
